Occasional Occasions provided catering service at my home for a 50th Birthday Reception for my wife. The reception was for 30 guests and the menu was heavy hors d'oeuvres. Because my wife is very particular (code for a bit of a snob), I was seeking a caterer with a classy cuisine (no Swedish meatballs, wings, etc) at an affordable price. When I first talked to the owner, Carlton Brown, I knew things would go well. I told him about my wife and her tastes and the budget that I wanted to work within. Within a few hours of our call, he e-mailed me a proposed menu (with representative photos of each item) and HE KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK ON THE FIRST SWING! My wife, who was highly concerned about my ability to pull off a classy event without her involvement, WAS BLOWN AWAY! She loved both the elegance of the presentation and the menu. The food was fabulous and our guests loved everything--from the balsamic kale salad, to the beef wellington en croute, to the pesto sun dried tomato cheesecake. The event went incredibly well and the food and presentation were first class! Occasional Occasions is now OUR caterer. You cannot work with a better person than Carlton Brown.
